The family of a 46-year-old woman who is fighting for her life following an alleged murder attempt by her 55-year-old husband in Limassol has broken their silence. In a social media post, the woman's son-in-law confirmed that she remains alive and called on the public to stop circulating false narratives about the case.
"First of all, my mother is alive. She is fighting the biggest battle of her life and we are by her side every minute, believing she will make it," he wrote.
Denials and a plea for respect
The son-in-law categorically denied reports circulating online about financial problems, third parties, or other alleged scenarios. "Please stop creating narratives about a family that is right now struggling to stay standing," he stated, urging the public to allow the authorities to complete their work and to respect the family's privacy.
Years of alleged abuse behind closed doors
The post also revealed what the family describes as a prolonged pattern of psychological abuse suffered by the woman. "What we lived through inside our home, only we know. For many years my mother lived a reality full of psychological violence, fear and control. Behind the image the world saw, there was a woman who suffered and endured far more than you know," he wrote.
A call for privacy and prayer
The son-in-law asked the public to refrain from speculation and to respect the privacy of the family. "If you truly want to stand by us, pray for our mother and respect our privacy," he concluded, thanking those who had offered their support.
