The UN Secretary-General's personal envoy, María Ángela Holguín, is expected to arrive in Cyprus on Sunday and hold separate meetings with President Nikos Christodoulidis and Turkish Cypriot leader Tufan Erhürman on Monday, according to information obtained by the Cyprus News Agency.
Contacts at the level of negotiators are expected in the early part of next week, coinciding with Holguín's visit. No further details about her schedule or additional meetings are available at this stage.
Competent sources told the Cyprus News Agency that some positive developments have emerged in negotiator-level discussions on confidence-building measures, particularly on the question of religious services, while talks on confidence-building measures more broadly are continuing.
