An internal investigation has been ordered within the Police over the leak of a threatening email sent to House President and DISY leader Annita Demetriou.
Police sources told CNA that the investigation into the threatening message remains ongoing, while the Chief of Police has also ordered an internal probe into the reported leak of its contents, which is believed to have come from within the force.
The same sources said both visible and non-visible security measures have been taken around Demetriou. She has spoken with Police Chief Themistos Arnaoutis, while the head of her security detail is in contact with the Police.
Announcements are expected once the examination of the case evidence has been completed.
