Two women, aged 38 and 58, were found injured in a flat in Nicosia on Saturday afternoon, in a case being investigated as attempted murder.
Police said the victims were discovered at around 4.50pm inside the apartment and were taken to Nicosia General Hospital, where they are receiving treatment in a stable condition.
Authorities are searching for a 35-year-old man in connection with the case. His details and photograph have been released to the public.
The Nicosia Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is continuing its investigation.
