Approximately 5,000 passengers travelling through the airports of Larnaca and Paphos were affected by flight disruptions on Tuesday following a technical fault in Britain's air traffic control system.
According to Hermes Airports, a total of 30 flights to and from Cyprus were impacted by the disruption.
Flights affected at both airports
Sources from the operator of Cyprus' airports said 16 flights to and from Larnaca Airport and 14 flights to and from Paphos Airport were affected.
The disruptions were linked to operational problems at UK airports caused by the technical failure.
Some services expected to operate today
Hermes Airports said the situation remains fluid and that some flights that were unable to operate on Tuesday are expected to depart on Wednesday.
Officials noted that the full impact on today's schedule remains unclear and that a more accurate picture is expected to emerge later in the day.
Passengers rearranging travel plans
Affected travellers are reportedly contacting their airlines to make alternative arrangements.
Despite the disruption, no significant congestion has been observed at either Larnaca or Paphos airports.
