Forest Firefighters Call off Planned 48‑Hour Strike after Agreement

Strike cancelled after agreement on terms.

A planned 48‑hour strike by forest firefighters has been cancelled after an agreement was reached on employment terms and the service scheme, according to the SEK OEKDY union.

In a statement, it said, “an agreement has been reached and the 48‑hour strike of the forest firefighters will not take place. The terms of employment and the Service Scheme will be implemented.”

It was also noted that dialogue has been agreed for October to address issues that have emerged.
