The Department of Meteorology has issued a yellow warning for isolated severe thunderstorms on Sunday night. The warning will be in force from 9pm on Sunday 27 September until 6am on Monday 28 September. According to the announcement, the storms are expected to affect western and northern areas first, with other parts of the island possibly affected later. Rainfall intensity is expected to reach between 35 and 50 millimetres an hour, and hail is possible during storms.
