Weak high pressure is beginning to temporarily affect the region.
Today, the weather will be mainly clear across most of Cyprus, with periods of increased cloud cover. In the mountains, clouds developing after midday may bring isolated showers.
Winds will blow mainly from the northwest to northeast, while along the southwestern and western coasts they will be southwesterly to northwesterly. They will generally be light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort.
The sea will be calm to slightly rough.
Temperatures will rise to around 28C inland and along the coasts, and around 19C in the higher mountains.
Tonight
Tonight will be mainly clear, although increased low cloud is expected locally along coastal areas.
Winds will continue to blow mainly from the northwest to northeast at 3 Beaufort, temporarily reaching 3 to 4 Beaufort in some areas.
The sea will remain generally calm to slightly rough.
Temperatures will fall to around 16C inland, 18C along the coasts and 9C in the higher mountains.
Friday and Saturday
The weather will be mainly sunny on Friday and Saturday, although increased local cloud cover is expected at times.
Sunday
On Sunday, periods of increased local cloud cover are expected, with a possibility of isolated light showers.
Temperatures will rise gradually until Saturday, reaching around or slightly above the seasonal average.
