A naval exercise was held on Tuesday, June 9, as part of the Tactical Exercise with Troops ‘NIKITIS-DIMITRA 2026’ in the Larnaca-Limassol coastal area, between the Patrol Vessel ‘Ioannidis’ and the Greek frigate ‘Elli’.
According to the Defence Ministry, the scenario included tactical movements and maneuvers, technical drills, and communications exercises. The joint training is considered particularly beneficial, as it helps to improve interoperability and the exchange of know‑how for conducting naval operations, said the ministry statement.
The National Guard Chief, Lieutenant General Emmanuel Theodorou, observed the exercise at sea and congratulated the crews of both vessels on their excellent training and professionalism.
