New evidence concerning the circumstances and exact time of Giorgos Mazonakis’ death may have emerged from digital data stored by the plasmapheresis machine used at a medical practice in Kolonaki, according to Proto Thema.
The device reportedly recorded the moment when the singer’s heart stopped. If confirmed by the investigation, the evidence could provide a clearer indication of when the cardiac arrest occurred and help authorities reconstruct the sequence of events.
Two doctors appear before investigating judge
Doctors Ilias Theodoropoulos and Ioanna Gaka arrived at the former Evelpidon court complex shortly before 1pm to provide their statements in connection with the case.
The two defendants currently face a charge of fatal exposure. However, investigators are reportedly considering whether the charge should be upgraded to homicide with conditional intent.
No additional prosecution has yet been initiated, as the investigating judge is awaiting further digital evidence from the Hellenic Police. The findings could influence the subsequent legal assessment of the case.
