The Saudi-led coalition said it intercepted and destroyed a cruise missile. The Houthis denied responsibility for the attack.

The Saudi-led international coalition said today that it had intercepted and destroyed a cruise missile in the Medina region. The holy city for Muslims has repeatedly been targeted by attacks by Yemen’s Houthi rebels.

“Interception and destruction of a cruise missile in the Medina region,” the coalition’s spokesman, Turki al-Maliki, wrote on X, without specifying where the missile came from.

The Houthis, for their part, denied being behind the attack in the Medina region.

“The Yemeni armed forces state that they did not conduct any operation today targeting Saudi territory, and that the Saudi enemy’s claims of targeting Medina are a disgraceful and blatant lie,” Yahya Saree, the military spokesman for the pro-Iranian movement, wrote on X.
