A severe weather system that has caused extensive flooding across various parts of Greece, is set to impact Cyprus tomorrow. The Adel Depression is expected in the evening, as the first substantial winter storm, initially catching the western and northern areas of the island and gradually spreading to the whole country. The Meteorological Service has issued a yellow weather warning starting tomorrow evening through to five in the morning on Sunday.

High pressure is currently affecting the area, with harmful particles of dust persisting in the atmosphere until tomorrow. The Adel depression, of southern Italy origin, is expected to move northeasterly and affect Cyprus starting tomorrow evening.
Overcast skies are forecast today with mid and high cloud cover. Winds will mainly be northeasterly to southeasterly, light to moderate force three to four and in windward regions, strong force four to five, over slight seas. Temperatures will rise to 26 degrees Celsius inland, 25 in coastal regions and 16 on the mountains.
Cloudy this evening, with light to moderate northerly to northeasterly winds, force three to four over slight to moderate seas. Temperatures will drop to 12 degrees Celsius inland, 15 in coastal regions and 9 on the mountains.
Isolated showers, mostly in the west and over the mountains are expected tomorrow, with heavy rain and isolated storms in the evening, initially in the west and north, gradually moving across the country.
A similar outlook is forecast on Sunday, with local showers and isolated storms at intervals, as more rain coming our way on Monday. Temperatures will go up tomorrow and down on Sunday again, rollercoasting between the storms.
