An emergency meeting is underway at the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) in Larnaca to address developments related to foot-and-mouth disease.

Ministers and senior officials from the Justice, Defence and Agriculture portfolios, along with the Police, National Guard and Fire Service, are participating in a coordination meeting at the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre in Larnaca.

The meeting began at 8:30 on Tuesday morning and is chaired by the Minister of Justice and Public Order, Costas Fytiris.

Also participating in the meeting are the Minister of Defence, Vasilis Palmas, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Andreas Gregoriou, and the Director of Veterinary Services, Christodoulos Pippis.

The Chief of Police, Themistos Arnaoutis, the Deputy Chief of the National Guard, Neophytos Pachoulides, and the Fire Service Spokesperson, Andreas Kettis, are also present, along with representatives of other state services.
