He stressed that the Republic of Cyprus continues to take precautionary measures to safeguard the country’s security and the safety of its citizens.

Letymbiotis also confirmed that French President Emmanuel Macron and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis are expected to arrive in Cyprus on Monday for a brief visit and a meeting with President Nikos Christodoulides, as part of coordination efforts regarding regional developments.

Repatriation flights continue

Referring to repatriation efforts, the government spokesperson said six flights have arrived in Cyprus so far, bringing back approximately 950 Cypriot citizens.

He added that the competent services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs continue their efforts to facilitate further repatriations where conditions allow and security considerations permit.
