Tragedy struck in Nicosia, where a 28-year-old man from India lost his life after being found unconscious in Solomos Square.
The sequence of events
The young man was found around 2pm on Tuesday (14 July) by Police officers, who immediately called an ambulance. He was rushed to Nicosia General Hospital, where he was intubated and was being treated in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit.
Despite doctors' efforts, the 28-year-old succumbed a few hours later.
The exact cause of death will be determined by the prescribed post-mortem examination, while the Police are investigating all possibilities.
