A lawyer has been arrested by the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department (CID) following a complaint by a 19-year-old who alleged that she was sexually harassed at the offices of the Cyprus Drug Law Enforcement Unit (YKAN).
According to reports, the 19-year-old had been arrested by YKAN during an operation and requested legal representation before being questioned.
The lawyer was subsequently called to the unit's offices to provide legal assistance.
The 19-year-old later filed a complaint with the Limassol CID, alleging that the lawyer sexually harassed her while they were at the YKAN offices.
Following the complaint, officers arrested the lawyer, who was taken in for questioning.
