Police have launched an investigation to locate the driver of a vehicle involved in a road traffic collision on Agiou Georgiou Avenue in Anthoupoli. The driver is alleged to have left the scene on foot after the incident.
No injuries were reported, although the vehicle overturned on the roadway following the collision.
Collision with parked vehicle
According to a spokesperson for the Police Communication Branch, the incident occurred at around 8am on Friday.
Police said a vehicle driven by a man collided with a parked vehicle on Agiou Georgiou Avenue before overturning.
Driver left the scene
Based on witness accounts gathered by police, the driver exited the overturned vehicle and left the scene on foot.
Authorities are currently seeking to identify and locate the individual as part of their investigation into the incident.
Police investigation under way
Police confirmed that inquiries are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
A recovery truck was called to remove the overturned vehicle from the road.
