A 28-year-old woman involved in Sunday’s fatal collision on the Kellia-Troulloi road tested negative for both alcohol and drugs.
Marina Christodoulidou, an officer with the Police Headquarters Communication Branch, said Larnaca Traffic Police were continuing to investigate the exact causes and circumstances of the crash.
The collision occurred at around 7.30pm when a high-powered motorcycle ridden by 29-year-old Giorgos Georgiou collided with the car.
Georgiou and the four occupants of the vehicle were taken by ambulance to Larnaca General Hospital, where the motorcyclist was pronounced dead.
Car occupants discharged
The 28-year-old driver, a 32-year-old passenger and two children aged two and four have since been discharged from hospital.
Post-mortem findings
A post-mortem examination of Georgiou’s body has been completed.
Forensic pathologist Nikolas Charalambous determined that his death was caused by severe craniocerebral injury sustained in the road collision.
