Heat Set to Rise Again From Tuesday

Temperatures are expected to climb from Tuesday and remain above seasonal averages through Thursday, while clear skies persist across Cyprus.

Cyprus will continue to experience mainly clear weather over the coming days, with temperatures set to rise from Tuesday and remain above average for the time of year until at least Thursday.

According to the Meteorological Service, the region is being affected by seasonal low pressure.

On Monday, conditions will be mostly clear. Winds will initially be northwesterly to northeasterly at 3 to 4 Beaufort, gradually becoming southwesterly to northwesterly at similar strengths and reaching 5 Beaufort at times along southern coastal areas.

The sea will be slightly rough.

Temperatures are expected to reach:

  • 37C inland
  • 32C on the west coast
  • Around 35C on other coastal areas
  • 28C in the higher mountains

Overnight, the weather will remain mostly clear.

Winds will be mainly northwesterly at 3 Beaufort, occasionally increasing to 4 Beaufort, while the sea will remain slightly rough.

Temperatures are forecast to fall to:

  • 24C inland
  • 24C along the coast
  • 19C in the higher mountains

On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, skies are expected to remain mostly clear.

Temperatures will rise on Tuesday before stabilising on Wednesday and Thursday at levels above the climatic average for the season.
