The weather is set to turn more unsettled, with isolated showers and thunderstorms expected across parts of Cyprus today and through the weekend.
According to the Department of Meteorology, seasonal low pressure and an unstable air mass are affecting the island.
Partly cloudy conditions are forecast today, with cloud build-up around midday and early afternoon likely to bring isolated showers or thunderstorms, mainly over inland areas and the mountains. Hail is also possible in thunderstorms.
Temperatures will reach 39C inland, around 30C on the west and southwest coasts, 34C along the remaining coastal areas, and 28C in the higher mountains.
Winds will be mainly southwesterly to northwesterly at 3-4 Beaufort, briefly reaching 4-5 Beaufort on southeastern coasts during the afternoon. Seas will be slight to a little rough.
Tonight, periods of increased cloud are expected, while patches of mist or fog may form locally during the early morning hours.
Temperatures will fall to 23C inland, around 24C on the coast, and 20C in the higher mountains.

On Saturday, Sunday and Monday, intervals of increased cloud are expected, with isolated showers and thunderstorms likely during the afternoon, mainly over inland and mountainous areas.
Temperatures are forecast to gradually decline over the three-day period, falling to slightly below seasonal averages by the start of next week.
