Greece and Egypt Reaffirm Focus on Trilateral Ties with Cyprus

The two foreign ministers underlined the importance of trilateral cooperation with Cyprus and agreed to strengthen coordination, while also discussing regional tensions and cooperation on the economy, investment and energy.

Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis and his Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdelatty reaffirmed the importance of trilateral cooperation with Cyprus during a phone call on Saturday, agreeing to further strengthen coordination within that framework.

According to a post on the Greek foreign ministry's account on X on Saturday, the call took place as part of the two ministers' regular contacts and focused on the strategic partnership between Greece and Egypt, as well as on expanding cooperation in the fields of the economy, investment and energy.

The two ministers also discussed regional developments, stressing the need to intensify diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions.
