Kuutio Homes Pafiakos has announced the renewal of its partnership with Giorgos Platis, who will remain head coach as the club seeks to maintain its position at the top of Cypriot volleyball and build on its recent European achievements.
According to a club statement, the agreement follows a highly successful two-year spell during which Platis guided Pafiakos to six trophies:
- Two league titles
- Two Cyprus Cups
- Two Super Cups
The Cypriot coach also oversaw a historic European campaign, leading Pafiakos to the quarter-finals of the Men's CEV Cup, the best performance by a Cypriot club in the competition.
The contract extension underlines the club's ambitions for the new season.
Pafiakos has set itself a dual objective of defending domestic titles while pursuing an even stronger performance in European competition, this time with its sights set on the CEV Champions League Volley.
Speaking to the club's press office, Platis said remaining at the summit of Cypriot volleyball is a permanent objective for Pafiakos.
He added that, beyond domestic success, the team is aiming to surpass its impressive European achievements from the 2024-25 season.
Platis also highlighted efforts to strengthen the squad, noting that new additions have already been made and further moves are planned to help the club achieve its ambitious targets.
The coach concluded with a message to supporters in Paphos, calling for the same strong backing they have shown in recent years.
Pafiakos enters the new season with high expectations, looking to build on an exceptionally successful two-year period and add another significant chapter to its history both in Cyprus and on the European stage.
