Russian foreign minister launches a sharp attack on Washington and Brussels, saying Europe is once again becoming the main threat to global peace.

Russia believes the United States is moving away from the role of an “impartial mediator” in negotiations to end the war in Ukraine, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Tuesday.

“With regard to the United States, judging by its actions, it appears to have abandoned any claim to the role of an impartial mediator and is instead following the path of intensifying sanctions pressure on Russia,” Lavrov said, addressing foreign diplomats in Moscow.

At the same time, the Russian foreign minister said that by providing military support to Ukraine, “Europe is once again becoming the main threat to global peace and security.”
