Seven people rescued after an incident involving a sailing boat off the Greek island of Symi are in good health, while search teams continue efforts to locate an eighth person who remains missing.
All eight people aboard the vessel reportedly ended up in the sea.
Survivors examined in Symi
According to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency, the seven survivors were taken to Symi Health Centre for medical examinations.
Doctors found them to be in good health, and their transfer to Rhodes was therefore deemed unnecessary.
Air and sea search continues
The search operation involves an offshore patrol vessel, a Hellenic Coast Guard boat and a Hellenic Air Force helicopter.
The authorities remain mobilised as the air and sea crews continue searching the wider maritime area for the missing person.
