These antioxidant seed crackers are an easy homemade option when you want something light and nutritious during the day. Made primarily from seeds and wholemeal flour, they are simple to prepare and bake until crisp while keeping a clean, natural flavour. They work perfectly as a snack or as a base for dips and salads.

Ingredients

  • 60 g sunflower seeds
  • 60 g pumpkin seeds
  • 30 g flaxseeds
  • 10 g sesame seeds
  • 60 g wholemeal flour
  • 75 ml water
  • 30 ml white vinegar
  • Salt

Method

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Place all the ingredients in a bowl and mix until they form a soft, sticky dough.

Step 2

Spread the mixture onto a sheet of baking paper and place another sheet on top. Using a rolling pin, flatten the mixture evenly until it is about 0.5 cm thick.

Step 3

Place the tray in the oven. After 10 minutes, remove the top sheet of baking paper and cut the partially baked dough into cracker shapes using a knife. Return to the oven and bake for another 20 minutes until crisp.
