Yellow Warning in Force for Strong Thunderstorms

The Department of Meteorology’s warning is in force until 18:00 for isolated strong thunderstorms, hail and rainfall that may locally exceed 35 millimetres per hour.

A yellow warning for isolated strong thunderstorms is in force until 18:00, according to the Department of Meteorology.

The warning came into effect at 03:30 on Sunday and states that the thunderstorms are expected to affect the island intermittently.

Hail is possible during a thunderstorm, while winds may vary and strengthen. Rainfall intensity is locally expected to exceed 35 millimetres per hour.
