Limassol CID is investigating a case of attempted murder following the serious injury of a 44-year-old foreign national at a building under construction in Limassol. A 47-year-old compatriot of hsi is allegedly involved; who left the scene and remains at large.
Limassol CID chief Costas Michael said that police were informed at around 8 a.m. about an injured person at a building under construction in the Mouttayiaka area.
Investigations found that the 44-year-old had a heated verbal argument with a colleague, who allegedly inflicted a serious abdominal injury on him with a cutting tool.
The injured man was taken by ambulance to Mediterranean Hospital, where he is undergoing surgery. His condition is considered serious but stable.
Regarding the 47-year-old alleged perpetrator, who left the scene, Michael said that searches were under way and that “we hope to locate him soon”.
