A wildfire broke out on Monday morning in a forested area near the community of Argaka in Paphos district, prompting an immediate response from firefighting authorities.
According to the Department of Forests, ground firefighting crews and aerial resources were mobilised to combat the blaze and prevent it from spreading.
Efforts are currently focused on containing and delimiting the fire, while no information has yet been provided regarding the size of the affected area.
Authorities have also not released details on the circumstances under which the fire started.
There are no reports so far that the blaze is threatening residential areas.
