Christodoulides Reshuffles Cabinet With Four New Appointments

President announces changes at four ministries and appoints three officials to key government posts.

 

President Nikos Christodoulides announced his long-awaited government reshuffle late on Tuesday afternoon, introducing four new faces to the Cabinet and making three additional appointments.

According to the Presidency, the changes were decided under the powers granted to the President by the Constitution.

New members of the government

The new appointments are:

  • Evantia Tsolaki, Minister of Transport, Communications and Works
  • Christos Senekis, Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and the Environment
  • Tina Pavlou, Deputy Minister of Social Welfare
  • Klea Papaellina, Deputy Minister of Culture

Three additional appointments

The President also appointed:

  • Ilias Myrianthous, Commissioner for the Environment and Animal Welfare
  • Irini Poyiatzi, Commissioner for the Citizen
  • Panayiotis Palates, Director of the Office of the President of the Republic

The affirmation and appointment ceremony will be held at the Presidential Palace on Thursday, 6 August 2026, at 9.30am.
