Norway will provide an additional 125 million Norwegian kroner, equivalent to €11.6 million, in aid to the occupied Palestinian territories through the United Nations and the World Bank.
The new funding also includes support for the public sector budget, the Norwegian government announced on Thursday.
Norway recognised a Palestinian state in 2024 and chairs the international donor group for the Palestinians.
Norway’s Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide said that the need for international support was “greater than ever”, while also criticising Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank.
Norway is providing approximately 1 billion Norwegian kroner in aid to the Palestinians in 2026.
