Three people were killed and 13 injured in Russian strikes on the Ukrainian capital, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

Three people were killed and 13 injured in Russian strikes on Kyiv today, the mayor of the Ukrainian capital, Vitali Klitschko, said, a day after heavy attacks on the country.

According to the mayor, one strike killed one person and injured 11 others. Nine of the injured were taken to hospital.

A fire broke out in a four-storey building in another strike. Rescuers found bodies of two people there, while two others were injured, Klitschko said in a post on social media.
