Drivers and pedestrians in Limassol should plan an alternative route this week, as a section of Leoforos Omonias will remain closed daily until 20 August, the Limassol Municipality has announced.
Which street is closed, and when
The closure affects the downhill section of Leoforos Omonias, from its junction with Vasileos Pavlou Street. It will be in effect daily from 5:00am to 8:00pm, from 17 August through 20 August 2026.
Why it's closed
The closure is in place to protect pedestrians and vehicles during demolition works on an abandoned building located at the junction of the two streets. Demolition crews are expected to continue work on site throughout the closure period.
Where to find detour signs
Detour routes will be marked with signage on site, directing drivers around the affected stretch of road.
