A 21-year-old food delivery driver was treated for facial injuries after being assaulted during a robbery in Limassol early on Wednesday.
The three suspects allegedly intercepted his vehicle, dragged him from the driver’s seat and stole €1,800 before escaping.
Three suspects on scooters
According to information under investigation, the incident occurred at around 1am while the 21-year-old was driving in Limassol.
Three unknown individuals riding scooters reportedly approached the vehicle and blocked its path. They then opened the driver’s door, pulled the victim from the car and assaulted him.
The suspects allegedly took €1,800 from a compartment inside the vehicle and fled in an unknown direction.
Victim discharged from hospital
The 21-year-old was taken by ambulance to Limassol General Hospital, where doctors found that he had sustained injuries to his face.
He received first aid and was later discharged.
The Limassol Criminal Investigation Department is continuing its investigation.
