Iran's Revolutionary Guards said on Thursday they had destroyed a US radar linked to the THAAD missile defence system in Jordan, describing the strike as retaliation for a twelfth consecutive night of US bombardments on Iranian territory.
In a statement carried by Iranian state television, the Revolutionary Guards also claimed to have destroyed a Patriot air defence system and set fire to a hangar allegedly used for helicopter maintenance.
Separately, Iran's regular army said it had struck facilities in Kuwait that it described as American military installations.
According to a separate statement reported by the state broadcaster IRIB, Iranian drones targeted what were described as US military ammunition and supply depots at a US base in Doha, as well as a fuel storage facility at Ali Al Salem Air Base and ammunition depots at Camp Arifjan in Kuwait.
The claims could not be independently verified.
Neither US military authorities nor the governments of Jordan and Kuwait immediately commented on the statements.
The announcements come amid escalating tensions between Tehran and Washington following a series of military exchanges in the region.
