Pavlos Kontides has moved into first place at the Grand Slam regatta in Los Angeles, with one more day of final series racing remaining before the medal races.
The Cypriot sailor, who is ranked world No. 1 in the ILCA 7 class, climbed to the top of the standings after another strong day on the water.
Kontides opened with two fourth-place finishes, followed by two fifth places, before finishing seventh in the final race of the day.
Two more final series races remain before the top 10 sailors who will contest the medal races are confirmed.
Australia's Matt Wearn and Ireland's Finn Lynch currently complete the top three behind Kontides.
Cyprus' other representative in the competition, Marilena Makri, is in 26th place.
