The Greek Cypriot side is seeking a substantive exchange when President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides meets Turkish Cypriot leader Tufan Erhürman on 26 August, sources told CNA.
Preparations for the meeting are expected to begin at negotiator level in the coming days.
Focus on the next expanded meeting
According to the same sources, the leaders are expected to discuss issues raised during the UN Secretary-General’s visit to Cyprus, with particular emphasis on preparations for the next expanded meeting.
Negotiators to meet beforehand
Negotiators from the two sides will meet ahead of the leaders’ talks to prepare for the discussion.
